The world could have to wait some time for Zion Williamson’s NBA debut.

The Pelicans rookie is predicted to miss “a period of weeks” to start the common season as he recovers from a knee injury, ESPN reported Friday.

The workforce said Thursday that Williamson would miss the preseason finale in opposition to the Knicks due to “right knee soreness.” The No. 1 total choose didn’t make the journey to New York and was remaining in New Orleans to bear additional analysis.

Williamson averaged 23.three factors in 4 preseason video games.

New Orleans takes on New York in its ultimate preseason sport on Friday at eight p.m. ET. The workforce travels to Toronto to open its common season Tuesday at eight p.m. ET.
