Twitter Reacts To Discrimination Allegations, Says Commitment To Inclusion Is Fundamental

In his tweets on November 3, Supreme Court lawyer Nitin Meshram summarised the grievances.

“3. Without @verified badge, Dalit, OBC, & Tribals are usually not genuine in digital world. They are weak to faux, fraud, & clone accounts. 4. All stalwarts of Dalits, OBCs, & Tribals are denied @verified badge, whereas, pigmies of different castes have been adorned with blue tick,” he alleged.

Denying the allegations, the Twitter spokesperson stated it has “one set of Twitter Rules”.

“To make it clear, we’ve one set of Twitter Rules and we implement our insurance policies judiciously and impartially for all people — no matter their political views, spiritual ideology, skilled place or background,” the spokesperson stated.
