Australian prefab structure specialists Modscape Idea have designed a five-storey dwelling that adheres to a cliff’s edge, suspended above the ocean. Somewhat than sitting on high off the cliff to disrupt the skyline, this extraordinary home juts out of the cliff’s aspect.

“Impressed by the best way barnacles cling to the hull of a ship, an idea was developed for a modular dwelling to hold off the aspect of a cliff versus sitting on high of it,” wrote Modscape in a weblog put up.

In response to Inhabitat, the home, aptly named Cliff Home, remains to be an idea. It was designed in response to the rising demand for residing on excessive coastal plots in Australia.

Cliff Home encompasses a vertical ground plan, with rooms stacked on high of one another. Residents must enter by way of a carport on the highest ground. An elevator and stairs would join every ground of the home.

“Internally, the residing areas characteristic minimalistic furnishings to make sure that the transcendent views of the ocean and the distinctive spatial expertise of the situation stay the integral focus of the design,” explains Modscape in its weblog put up on the Cliff Home.
