A man accused of homicide in Texas is the topic of a Canada-wide warrant after illegally crossing the border into Manitoba late final month, say RCMP.
Derek Whisenand, 27, had been evading police in the USA, and someday in the course of the week of June 24, he snuck into Manitoba close to Haskett, simply north of Walhalla, N.D., the Mounties stated.
They consider he then travelled to Winnipeg and should now have moved on to Japanese Canada.
This is how police describe Whisenand:
- Six ft tall.
- Weighting 230 kilos.
- Having brown eyes and brown hair.
- Final seen with a black goatee.
He’s travelling with a big, brindle-coloured mixed-breed canine — presumably a mixture of a German shepherd and pit bull or boxer.
He could also be armed and is taken into account harmful, and isn’t to be approached, RCMP warn.
Anybody with info is requested to right away name 911 or the RCMP Built-in Border Enforcement Staff at 204-324-9177.
