TORONTO — In a transfer that many are calling “way past cool,” the character design of Sonic the Hedgehog seems to have been fully overhauled.

Animators for the live-action ‘Sonic the Hedgehog’ movie have unveiled the titular character’s new look, that includes greater eyes and fingers, fewer enamel and punchier colors, in a model new trailer.
