Former Fortis Healthcare Ltd promoter Shivinder Singh was arrested in Delhi on Thursday for alleged fraud, TV channels and information company PTI reported.


Delhi Police’s Economic Offences Wing additionally arrested three different individuals and it’s trying for Shivinder’s older brother, Malvinder, in a Rs 740-crore fraud case filed by Religare Finvest, which is a part of Religare Enterprises during which the brothers had been as soon as majority stakeholders.



The brothers had been heirs to Ranbaxy Laboratories Ltd, based by their father and as soon as India’s largest drugmaker, however offered it to Japanese agency Daiichi Sankyo in 2008 to focus on the family-owned Fortis Healthcare, a hospital chain, and Religare Enterprises, a monetary companies agency. Financial troubles noticed them shedding possession in each firms.


The Enforcement Directorate (ED) in August 2109 raided properties premises linked to the brothers and others in reference to a cash laundering case.


PTI named the three different individuals arrested as Kavi Arora, Sunil Godhwani and Anil Saxena. Godhwani is the previous chairman and managing director of Religare Finvest.
