Actress Sally Field was arrested at Jane Fonda‘s weekly climate protest in entrance of the US Capitol in Washington, DC, on Friday, a report mentioned.
The “Forrest Gump” actress, together with 26 different demonstrators, was put in plastic cuffs by US Capitol Police for collaborating in Fonda’s protests, dubbed “Fire Drill Fridays,” CNN reported.
In an impromptu speech on the demonstration, Field mentioned “the time is now” to behave on climate change, in line with the video shared on the group’s Twitter feed.
“We can not sit back in our comfort zones, on our couches, and wonder what can we do?” she mentioned.
“We can get out. We can do something — in the rain, whatever it takes,” she added.
Friday’s demonstration was the 10th consecutive weekly protest organized by Fonda.
