The BJP has dismissed the allegation and stated it was a “mistake” on a part of the notary.
Mr Fadnavis had filed his nomination papers as a BJP candidate for Nagpur South West seat on Friday.
His Congress opponent Ashish Deshmukh stated the seal on the affidavit states that the time period of the notary, an individual authorised to carry out acts in authorized affairs like witnessing signatures on paperwork, expired on “28-12-2018”.
Mr Deshmukh stated the involved returning officer (RO), Shekhar Ghadge, ought to have rejected the shape in addition to Mr Fadnavis’s candidature however had failed to take action, and alleged authorities strain for the inaction.
Mr Deshmukh cited a Supreme Courtroom judgement to the officer to demand the rejection of Mr Fadnavis’s nomination papers.
