An on-line advert for Luann de Lesseps’ cabaret show, “Countess and Friends,” features a quote from a glowing assessment within the New York Times. Or so it appears.

Journalist Anna Peele tweeted on Wednesday that she was shocked to see that the Gray Lady had known as the show “inspiring,” so she checked out the assessment.

‘REAL HOUSEWIVES’ STAR LUANN DE LESSEPS WILL NOT BE JOINING BROADWAY’S ‘CHICAGO’ AFTER HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT

Turns out that the total quote — which was in a profile of the “Real Housewives” star, not even a assessment — reads, “Tickets to the first performance of #CountessandFriends went on sale on Dec. 10, and quickly sold out, inspiring Ms. de Lesseps to add a second date, which sold out within 24 hours.” (Italics ours). Sources near De Lesseps acknowledged that there’s no different Times assessment that features the phrase “inspired” as reward.
