(Reuters) – Phillips 66 stated on Friday it had contained a hearth at its Los Angeles refinery and there have been no accidents.
The reason for the hearth, which began at about 7:30 p.m. native time, is underneath investigation, Phillips 66 stated in a press release.
The hearth occurred on the Carson facility, which is a part of the Phillips 66 Los Angeles Refinery. The refinery processes primarily heavy, high-sulfur crude oil, in response to the corporate’s web site.
A plume of thick black smoke was seen when the ability was ablaze, nonetheless the corporate stated that the neighborhood air monitoring readings have proven no offsite affect.
