Actress and Wag movie star spokeswoman Olivia Munn thanked the NYPD for the protected return of a dog-napped pooch named Benny that was swiped by a canine walker for the app on Friday night.
The “X-Men: Apocalypse” star, who’s a spokeswoman and investor within the app, addressed the controversy in a Reddit AMA after Benny was returned to his Battery Park house owners.
“Have you all found that dog that was stolen yet?” a Reddit consumer requested her in the course of the AMA.
“Yes!! Thank god! That’s why I was late to the AMA, I’ve been up all night,” Munn responded to the query on Reddit.
“I wanted to make sure we got Benny home safe with Sophie and Max. Huge huge gratitude to the NYPD and Detective Kaufman for working so hard and moving so fast to bring Benny home,” she added.

Benny went lacking from the couple’s Battery Park constructing Thursday — and the couple suspected a walker from the “Uber for dog walking” app was accountable, as they’re the one ones who had entry to their spare key.
In an announcement, Wag mentioned: “The entire team at Wag! is thrilled that Benny has been found and is home safely with his parents. We thank the New York Police Department officers involved in finding Benny.”
