Megan Thee Stallion did not take the stage in the course of the second weekend of the Austin City Limits Music Festival on Saturday (Oct. 12) in spite of her efforts to “still perform” after she missed her scheduled set time.

Fans hit social media complaining in regards to the last-minute programming change shortly after the pageant canceled her efficiency, which was to begin at 1:15 p.m. on the Miller Lite stage in Austin’s Zilker Park. The rapper addressed her absence on Twitter early Sunday morning (Oct. 13) and indicated she needs to make it up to her Austin followers ASAP.

“I did not make it in time from my show in another state the night before,” she tweeted. “I tried to still perform and they just told me my set was cancelled. I will do a make up show for my atx hotties soon.”

A consultant for ACL Music Festival tells Billboard that Megan “did not leave her hotel until after her scheduled time and didn’t arrive on time to perform.” When a disenchanted fan commented on the cancelation, Megan remorsefully replied that she “didn’t make it exactly on time” and “things happen.”

Her subsequent present is about to happen at San Antonio’s Mala Luna music pageant on Oct. 26.

Megan Thee Stallion wasn’t the one act whose time at ACL Music Festival did not go in accordance to plan: The Cure’s bassist Simon Gallup had to miss out on their headlining set on Saturday night time due to a “serious personal situation” that pressured him to return to the U.K.
