Rah Ali is opening up for the primary time since shedding her child at 5 months gestation on May 26.
The Love & Hip Hop: New York alum tells PEOPLE in an unique dialog that when she began having abdomen cramps that morning, she didn’t assume a lot of it. Ali simply assumed she was experiencing regular uncomfortable side effects, as she was over midway by means of her being pregnant.
However her ache solely received worse because the day went on, and at last, the fact star knew she couldn’t ignore it anymore.
“I called my husband and he rushed home,” she tells PEOPLE. “The ambulance came and they took me to the hospital. That’s when they told me that my cervix was completely open and that my water had broken.”
Simply 20 weeks alongside — and in no way ready — Ali was pressured into labor.
“When you’re pregnant with your first child, it’s a whole mental thing just knowing that you’re going to deliver,” she tells PEOPLE. “Every day you count down and see getting closer and closer. At five months, I hadn’t even come to the realization that it was going to happen. It was the worst experience of my life.”

Ali gave start prematurely at 5 months gestation. The infant died shortly after, as docs instructed Ali that her daughter (whom she’d named Sanaa) had no probability of surviving outdoors the womb at 20 weeks. As Ali recollects, “I held her … and she slept in the room with us until the morning when they took her away. I felt like I lost my soul.”
The “Stiletto Expert” additionally tells PEOPLE in regards to the early phases of her being pregnant, and the particular relationship she had shaped with child Sanaa at the same time as she developed in utero.
“Every single day, I would get up and feel her kicking and I would talk to her,” Ali says. “Not like a baby, but like a person. I would say, ‘What are we eating this morning?’ Or, ‘Okay, you’re getting agitated and feisty. I know you’re hungry and I’m going to eat something.’ ”
“Our bond was so strong. Maybe because God knew I would never be able to experience it … I just felt so connected to her,” she shares.

Within the wake of the tragedy, the fact star says she has acquired numerous messages from ladies who lived by means of comparable experiences. She has discovered consolation of their tales, and says the help she has acquired from family and friends is invaluable.

“I actually haven’t heard from her but I don’t have any expectations, nor do I think she is in any way expected to reach out to me during this time,” Ali says of Remy. “It would be ridiculous to even think that. That’s a buried relationship. I truly mean that respectfully.”
