Laxmi Agarwal, whose life story has impressed Chhapaak, a movie on an acid assault survivor starring Deepika Padukone, lately revealed how her daughter reacted to the movie. Laxmi stated that her daughter patiently watched the entire film, and later went and hugged Deepika!
Speaking to Mid-Day, Laxmi revealed her daughter’s response to Chhapaak. “She usually leaves a film half-way, but patiently watched this one till the end. She then posed questions, one by one, all of which I addressed. After the film, she showered me with so much love. She also went and hugged Deepika. I wanted to make a video of her (reacting to the film) and show the world what she felt, in her own words,” she stated.
Talking concerning the movie, Laxmi had earlier stated that Chhapaak is sure to create extra consciousness and take away ‘acid’ from the minds of people that use it as a weapon to take revenge. She added that when a star raises a problem, it turns into a problem of the society as folks notice that somebody from amongst them made the acid assault.
Chhapaak has been directed by Meghna Gulzar, and it stars Vikrant Massey reverse Deepika. The movie has been praised by critics in addition to moviegoers for the unimaginable portrayal of a narrative of triumph. Deepika particularly, has been lauded for her efficiency.
