Jacki Weaver has apologized for her feedback about Anjelica Huston, saying she doesn’t suppose the actress is a “s - - thead.”
Again in May, Huston gave an interview saying she wouldn’t need to be in a film about one thing “humiliating like ‘band of cheerleaders gets back together for one last hurrah,’ ” seemingly referring to Weaver’s flick “Poms,” which follows a cheerleading troupe that reunites for a last efficiency.
On the time Weaver responded in an interview saying, “Well, she can go f - - k herself,” including, “I would say she must be going through menopause, but she must have had that ages ago.”
However, on this week’s Twitter morning present “AM to DM,” Weaver admitted, “Sometimes my filter drops, and my filter dropped that day. I just got a bit cross — ‘cross’ being the operative word. I got incensed. I saw red. I lose my temper once a year, and that was it.”
Weaver continued, “I do admire Anjelica Huston. I don’t think she’s a s - - thead. I think she’s a wonderful actress and a really nice woman.”
Huston had beforehand apologized, saying, “I hope I didn’t hurt anyone’s feelings. And if I did, I hope they come back at me.”
