The San Francisco faculty board on Tuesday voted 4-Three to cowl a controversial 1936 George Washington mural at a neighborhood highschool that features photos of slavery and the killing of a Native American.
The 13-panel “Life of Washington” shall be preserved however coated by panels that present “the heroism of individuals of coloration in America, how now we have fought in opposition to, and proceed to battle discrimination, racism, hatred, and poverty” a proposal steered by the board president stated.

The board voted on the elimination of the 1,600-square-foot mural at George Washington Excessive Faculty after critics known as it racist and offensive.
