Carrie Underwood Remembers ‘American Idol’ Win With Priceless Throwback

Marking the anniversary of her 2005 “American Idol” win, nation star Carrie Underwood launched a throwback picture of the second she heard the outcomes.

In a photograph posted to her Instagram story on Sunday, Underwood included an image of herself on the stage of the singing competitors, crying tears of pleasure because the present’s host, Ryan Seacrest, stands within the background.

“14 years ago today … my world changed,” Underwood wrote. “It’s true when I say that ‘you can’t cry pretty.’”

The singer was making a transparent reference to her 2018 tune, “Cry Pretty,” which she wrote with Lori McKenna, Hillary Lindsey and Liz Rose, who’re a part of a rock group referred to as the Love Junkies.

The country star reminisced about her big win.

In a weblog submit to her followers simply earlier than the monitor was launched, Underwood stated the tune was about “when emotions take over and you just can’t hold them back.”

“It really speaks to a lot of things that have happened in the past year and I hope when you hear it, you can relate those feelings to those times in your life,” she added.

Underwood, now 36, gained “American Idol” at age 22. She has gone on to win seven Grammy awards, document 26 chart-topping singles and promote greater than 60 million data world wide.
