Back in August, we reported that Billy Joel noticed a fan at one among his infinite string of Madison Square Garden exhibits holding an indication saying, “This is my 100th show” — and promised the superfan free tickets for his or her 101st show.
Now we’re advised the Piano Man made good on the promise. “They gave us four tickets and backstage passes,” Dr. Geoff Epstein advised Page Six. “It was very generous … I’ve been a fan for over 40 years.”
Epstein, who says he’s “realistically spent between $25,000 and $50,000” on Joel’s residency, says he’s not finished but. “My wife thinks I’m done, but I equate going to the Garden … to a Knicks game, except when you go to a Knicks game, they may lose. At Billy, I always leave happy because my team always wins,” he stated.
As for the unlucky coincidence of sharing a reputation with deceased Jeff Epstein? “It’s out of my control.”
