TORONTO — A Texas man was arrested after being recognized as financial institution robbery suspect by his personal fiancée the day before the couple had been imagined to be wed.
The lady first suspected her man after seeing a photograph of him on a neighborhood county sheriff’s Facebook put up associated to an armed robbery at Citizens State Bank in Groveton, Texas on October 4.
After calling authorities, she urged her fiancé to show himself in, in response to a Facebook video from Trinity County Sheriff Woody Wallace. “She convinced him that she knew it was him” Wallace mentioned within the video.
Heath Edward Bumpous, from Crockett, Texas, later turned himself in to a Houston County deputy. The sheriff mentioned that Bumpous not solely confessed to the robbery, however pointed authorities to the place the stolen cash was.
Wallace mentioned Bumpous advised him that he had allegedly stolen the cash as a result of he couldn’t afford to pay for the wedding ring nor the venue for the wedding — which was the day after the robbery.
Bumpous has been charged with aggravated robbery. None of the allegations have been confirmed in court docket.
