The Jammu and Kashmir administration on Sunday stated 2,157 individuals — travellers and persons in contact with suspected coronavirus instances — have been put under surveillance in the union territory.

According to the day by day media bulletin on novel coronavirus (COVID-19), 1829 persons are under house quarantine and 29 persons are in hospital quarantine whereas 131 persons are under house surveillance.

It stated 101 samples have been despatched for testing, of which 87 examined adverse.

Only two instances have examined optimistic thus far whereas experiences of 12 instances are awaited until date, the bulletin added.

A whole of 168 persons have accomplished their 28-day surveillance interval, it stated.
